Graduation Hat Box I am so proud of my husband. He graduated this week from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters Degree in Applied Economics. I made him this box to celebrate his lifelong ambition of getting an advanced degree in Economics. I used cardstock and chipboard to construct this box. Make it into a circle and glue. Repeat for the other wider piece.  Bend down the tabs as shown above.  Apply glue to all of the tabs. I love butterflies.  I just planted some zinnias which attract butterflies and thought it would be fun to make a butterfly box.  My pretty butterfly box with my newly planted zinnias in the  background.  I made two versions.  One with flourishes on the sides.  The other with no flourishes.   The Butterfly wings slide together to close the top of the box.
